Services

You know there is something wrong with your computer but don’t know what.  Basically, I figure out what is wrong and fix it.  It may need a tune-up, upgrade, virus removal, repair, or replacement of parts.  I can also work with you to set up and orient you on new equipment or network your existing equipment.

Is it time for a new computer? I can help you decide and make recommendations to fit your lifestyle.  This involves looking at what you currently have, and what you need that it is not doing.  Is it too small, are you out of storage?  You may just need a tune up or a memory upgrade, or maybe actually a new computer.  I can help you pick something out, and even go shopping with you if needed.

Troubleshooting

Clients are often at a starting point of not knowing why their computer is not functioning to their expectations.  I can do a thorough evaluation, and make recommendations to meet your needs.

Tune-Ups

Computers often run slow, caused by unknown and unwanted programs running in the background. Evaluations for memory and hard drive upgrades may be needed also.

Upgrades

This may include hardware upgrades like increased memory, navigating problems with software upgrades, or an evaluation of making improvements vs. buying new.

Repairs

This is basically identifying what part is bad, and replacing it.  Common sources of problems are a bad hard drive, mouse, keyboard, lap top screen, or printer. If needed, I may take the equipment with me for complex work.

Installation

This includes setting up of the new equipment, backing up data from the old computer and transferring it to the new computer; also helping to install new programs, and showing you how to find your way around on your new computer.

Networking

This may include installing a modem or wireless router, recommending and installing a network printer to be shared among multiple computers.  Get everything online at once:  laptops, tablets, smartphones, wireless printers, and desktop.
